Tour Day 1: Omaha @ Dustin Diamond's [10 Mar 2005|01:42am]
Alright, I'm not going to lie here...you sound like a gay!

Anyways, long time no update. I'll make this quick because there isn't a whole lot to report on.

We played the good old Ranch Bowl and it was a blast and a half. We got there early and made good use of the free bowling bonus. BONUS! My bowling name was BUN. I didn't not un-losen't. Bowling rules. We played with some great bands, and saw our good friends in Paria. Speaking of Paria, we are at their bassist's house right now and it is good times. He has an original Simpsons arcade game in his living room. Two words: amazing. Paria are good people. Sorry this entry is fairly boring and uncreative, it's been a long day. I drove the 6 hours here and I only hit 3 deer, 2 cats, 1 bison, 5 rolls of carpet, and 25 boulders on the way. Not too shabby.

We are driving to Fort Collins, CO tomorrow to play a house show. Should be good times, we haven't played a house show in foreverrrrrrr.

I'll be back to update this thing again sometime soon and I promise I'll make it interesting.

OUR VAN IS A PIECE OF SHIT [17 Jan 2005|07:46pm]
Welp, we were on our way to Chicago to play a show today and low and behold we have van problems. Cool van. We noticed a lot of bumping and shit so we pull over to the side of the road, pop off the left rear hubcap and to our dismay our whole wheel was about to fall off. One of the pegs on the brake drum was completely sheared off, the other seven were cut about halfway through. Cool. Luckily for us we stopped when we did otherwise our wheel would have blown off and we probably would have flipped. So luckily for us the Ettison Clio dudes and dudette are amazing and helped us out bigtime. They called up triple A and we got our van towed to the nearest ford dealer in hopes of a quick repair so we could make our show. NOPE. The place closed 15min before we got there. So both bands were forced to drop off the show. Hopefully we can still make it to Milwaukee in time for our show there tomorrow.

We are really sorry to those who hoped to see us tonight. We will come back to Chicago ASAP to make it up to you guys. Maybe we can come out with Ettison Clio, if you haven't heard them, do yourself a favor and get into them ROCK!

Other than that we have had a great time on tour with our boyfriends in Waking Judea, get into this band as well, do it.

I'm sure there will be more news to come in the next few days so please stay tuned!

Forever yours,

Aaron

This is an official statement from Nehemiah regarding upcoming changes: [30 Nov 2004|10:37pm]
Dear Fans,

We know there are some rumors going around about Nehemiah parting ways, so we are issuing this statement to clear a couple of things up and “set the record straight”, as it were. First, and most importantly, we are not breaking up. We are, however, making some changes as all bands do when they progress throughout their career. Chad, Steve, and Brady will be leaving the band due to the demands that come with a full time band. Also, we will be continuing under the name Nehemiah. Our reasoning behind this is the simple fact that no matter who is in the band, Nehemiah is Nehemiah. As with all bands, the music will progress with time, but it will always remain recognizably Nehemiah. From our first demo in 2000 to our upcoming Lenore EP, the music has progressed, but the driving force behind it has remained the same and will continue to do so.

We need to send out a huge “thank you” to you, the fans, for all of your support throughout the years. You really do mean the world to us and we could not have gotten to where we are today if it weren’t for the enormous support we’ve received from all of you. To everyone that has come to one of our shows, enjoyed our music, or even given us a high-five, thank you so much, it really does mean a lot to us.

We’re really excited about touring as much as possible and we’ve already got some good stuff lined up in the upcoming months to support our soon to be released Lenore EP, currently set for March, 2005. We will be looking for a full-time drummer who will be willing to tour extensively and re-locate to Minneapolis, so drop us a line if you’re up to the task. Also, we’re currently looking for bands to tour with; our contact info is below.

Again, thank you all; we’ll keep you updated!

-Nehemiah

COOL TOUR [14 Sep 2004|01:14am]
RECAP:

HIGHLIGHTS:

MINNEAPOLIS SHOW - A great start for the tour, good amount of kids having a good ol' time and got to meet the Paria guys. We all got payed really well too.

MILWAUKEE SHOW - Not a huge amount of kids at the show, but always a decent amount. A lot of younger kids are coming out, and old faces gone, but the younger kids are loving it so its alll good. This was my first show singing bymyself, so i was a bit nervous, but it went over really well. Sold a decent amount of merch and door pay. Hung out at CJ's that night. Watched the movie FUBAR, it was pretty okay. OHHHHHHH forgot to mention had to haul Burkes sexy ass and Boomers not so sexy ass all the way to Peoria. Burke is good at merch and being really really cute. Ladies watch out, Burke is coming to get ya!! We did our good deed for the tour....thinking it would pay off in the end. Little did we know. DUN DUN DUN.

PEORIA SHOW - We all had high hopes for this show because our man Burke hooked it up, and we knew Peoria kids are awesome and like to have a good time so shit was tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Found out that we had to play second because some other local band coulndt get off work till like 9 and Undo Tomorrow was no where to be found. We sucked it up and got our shit ready. Our set was only going to be 5 songs long, but kids were loving the Nehemiah Pain Train sooooo much that they wanted to hear another! We through Dead in the Wake at them to see how they would take it. I directed the crowd to not stop moving for the entire 20 minutes of that song....and was not let down. Definitely a crowd favorite. Met a lot of great kids and knew we would be back there soon, for another good show. Big thanks to Burkes Fam, but being awesome and making us food and such.

OKEMOS, MI - No show, but got to spend 2 days with my girl. Went to a huge kegger of a birthday party for JP of the legendary band known as ETTISON CLIO. We showed up and just right away things got crazy, we were doing tons of heorin keg stands and lots of beer bongs. The place was packed with crazy party goers having a good time, getting sweaty drunk, and slamming beers. We kicked it for awhile, till the cops showed up and decided that it was time to calm down. They always have to go and ruin everything dont they. Cool cops. We then decided it would be a great ending to a perfect story by playing Trivial Pursuit for Rocket Scientists and Nature Lovers. Stephanie cleaned house with answers only the Pope himself would know. Lots of hanging out and eating food and playing Nintendo were had. The ending of Michigan brought on the onslaught of the phrase COOL TOUR. You can read more below in the shittyness section.

PARIA - Paria dudes were a huge highlight of this tour...good ol' boy from the MIdwest. They like to drink beer and play football. Also, some may mistake the singer (Brian) for Chris Farley....dont let that sway you. He is great at yelling. We didnt get to spend a whole lot of time with the boys, but the time we did was amazing. Definitely will have to hook something up in the future once their record drops.

NOLANS GRANDPARENTS - great people. great haunted house. Thank you to Nolans Grandparents for being so awesome and giving us food and shelter. Hopefully we will see them again soon.!

BRAD PARNELL - Meeting this dude in Oklahoma City and helped us with our merch situation by letting us send our merch to his house. Then letting us crash there. We rewarded him by introducing an amazing band to his ears....known to all as BRAND NEW SHOES. These guys have been an inspiration to us, and we had to share the pleasure with Brad. He was in love right away. Thanks Brad. You are hot.

MARTYR AD / HASTE THE DAY / DEAD TO FALL - Hooked up with these guys thanks to Logan being in Dead to Fall now. Would never had found out about this show if not for Paria. We drove 3 hours to San Antonio to split a set, and it was worth it. Even though we had to open and could only play 3 songs, this was definitely a good ending point for the tour. Kids went off , even though most hadnt heard of us!! Lots of hanging out and chatting with Martyr / Haste the Day/ Dead to fall boys. It felt good to be at and actual REAL show. Hopefully we will be touring with Dead to Fall come January.

SHITTYNESS SECTION:

BOTTLEROCKET FEST - Why do most fests have to fucking always suck. Wouldnt you think someone would know how to put a fest on by now. Found out that they cancelled the day we were suppose to play (OF COURSE). Venue switch the first day of the fest, apparently things got cancelled due to damage to the venue. Left us without a show, without pay, with our thumbs in our butts. Found out too late that we could have played down in Dayton, OH with PREMONITIONS OF WAR that day instead..... to our luck we couldnt make it. One good thing was i got to see my girlfriend for another day. The bad thing was 2 days off in a row already...not looking good.

NASHVILLE - As soon as we got to the show, it looked sketchy as hell. Even though the local band that played first (CALLED 5:30) was pretty much hilarious, couldnt make up for the fact that there were 2 maybe 3 kids besides Paria there. 5:30 moshed it up for us and thought we sounded like Lamb Of God. 5:30. No pay that night for obvious reasons. Did not have a show booked for the next day, so the venue said we could play there again. We made a hopeless attempt at making flyers, hoping to hand them out the next day so kids maybe could come to the show. (DIY SHIT). Went to a coffee house and handed out some flyers that night and decided that was good enough. The next morning we got up too late and didnt get ready in time to hand out flyers.....we knew that it was going to be another flops show...but decided to go anyways. Got to the venue. No kids. Called Paria and said that we were going back to Nolans Grandparents to get a nights sleep before we drive to Arkansas.

NO SHOWS - That left us with 5 days off in a row unless you want to count playing for 2 kids. COOL TOUR. Drove straight to Oklahoma city.

OKALHOMA CITY - There were actually an okay amount of kids there, but didnt sell one thing. I think we got paid 20 bucks from the door. Cool.

TEXAS - Played the Texas Murder Fest Preshow. It was held in the Internaltional Ballroom capacity of about 10,000 or something. There were like 30 kids there. The promoter was shitting bricks....actually had a small heart attack. We played 3 songs on a huge ass stage and i guess it was cool. Sold one shirt to a kid. Got a pretty cool oversized laminent pass. That is about it.

MURDERFEST- got cancelled the last day, of course the day we were suppose to play. We werent really surprised, however, we thought it was still going on and drove 3 hours from San Antonio to find the place deserted. We decided it was a good idea to throw some glass bottles at the way to solve the problem. At this point, the tour was going so well, that we decided to pack our bags and get the fuck out of Texas and drive home. Thus, this tour has been dubbed : COOL TOUR.

The End.
If there is more to add, it shall be done.

Evan.

TOUR UPDATE 69. [08 Sep 2004|03:40am]
[ mood | drained ]

WE HAVE NOT HAD A SHOW FOR 4 DAYS.
AND WE DON'T HAVE ONE TOMORROW NIGHT EITHER.
LAST NIGHT THERE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A SHOW BUT ONLY 2 PEOPLE SHOWED UP, OTHER THAN THE BANDS PLAYING (in NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE).
WE PLAYED ANYWAYS FOR THE BAND MEMBERS...AND THATS FUCKING IT.
AT LEAST THE GUYS FROM THE OPENING BAND "5:30" WERE THERE TO FUCK SHIT UP.
THEY BANGED THEIR HEADS WHEN WE TOLD THEM TO AND STAGE DOVE INTO A CROWD OF ZERO.
SPEAKING OF 5:30...WHAT A GREAT FUCKING BAND...THEY CLOSED WITH A SONG CALLED "LIGHTNING FAST".
HERE'S THE CHORUS:
STICK IT IN HER FACE
STICK IT IN HER BUTT
STICK IT IN HER CUNT
LIGHTNING FAST

WOW. THESE GUYS WERE WEARING METALLICA SHIRTS TOO.
AWESOME.

WE'VE BEEN STAYING AT NOLAN'S GRANDPARENTS HOUSE AND THEY'VE BEEN TREATING US LIKE ROYALS. SERVING US FINE MEATS AND MILK FROM PITCHERS. I GUESS THIS PLACE IS HAUNTED BUT I HAVENT BEEN TOUCHED BY ANY GHOSTS YET.

WE SPENT THIS EVENING SITTING AROUND IN OUR FUCKING UNDERWEAR WATCHING OLD EPISODES OF 20/20 DEALING WITH PARENTS SPANKING THEIR CHILDREN and AN EPISODE OF FRONTLINE DEALING WITH THE "LITTLE RASCALS DAY CARE CENTER" MASSIVE SEXUAL ABUSE CASE from 1989 OR SO.
BOB KELLY GUILTY OF SODOMIZING THE CHILDREN, MAKING THEM HAVE SEX WITH EACH OTHER, STICKING OBJECTS SUCH AS SCISSORS, KNIVES, PENCILS AND OTHER OBJECTS INTO THEIR RECTAL AND VAGINAL AREAS, FORCING THE CHILDREN TO PERFORM ORAL SEX, FORCING THE CHILDREN TO URINATE AND DEFECATE ON ONE ANOTHER, AMONGST MANY OTHER THINGS...
it all started as rumors but was later proven to be all true.
SEVEN people were eventually arrested.
TWENTY NINE children were abused.
HOLY SHIT.
LITTLE RASCALS DAY CARE CENTER what the fuck is wrong with you?
can you believe we watched that shit in our underwear?
surprised we didnt catch any splattering on the floor anywhere.

tomorrow its off to ARKANSAS where we DONT HAVE A SHOW.
AGAIN.

Midcoast Tour: Day 4 [05 Sep 2004|12:20pm]
Hello again our friends of friends. We are on part two of our decade long super universal tour. So far it was been wonderous. We have slayed at least 7 Krakens and 2 Centaurs. Not so bad if you ask me. Enough about that, lets get down to business about the shows...

Milwaukee: Always good. Pretty good turn out and lots o' people jiving it up for us. After the show we stayed with CJ. We watched Fubar and played with Deaner, the best dog in the universe. His little butt hairs will stay in our hearts for all of eternity.

Peoria: Awesome time. Reminds me of Laporte. Good turn out and kids went off. We also sold bunches of merch and are now almost down to ZERO MERCH. Damn it. Steak N' Shake ensued after the show and then we parted with our dearly beloved Burke and took off to East Lansing to party down with Stephison Clio.

East Lansing: No show. Just party! We went to this drunken party. Lots of people, smoke, and heat. Eventually the party got broken up by the most ruthless police cops I have ever seen! Three of them went right up to the apartment and kicked down the door and threw in a tear gas grenade. Ha, like that would phase a bunch of krunked peeps. The cops then went with plan B; mustard gas. yeah that got everyone out alright. I'm very fortunate to have drunken myself so stupid that I actually fell out of the second story apartment window only moments before the gas engulfed the perimeter. Phew! Anyways, we ended sitting around by our van in the parking lot whilst the cops were giving people the boot. This one big dyke cop came over and said "what are you guys doing here?" we responded "we are waiting for two more people to come out so we can leave." he responded with "oh well hurry up, this isn't East Lansing, we don't play the same games I'm a huge faggot." COOL LIFE. He then told us that we were trespassing and that we would be sent to jail for life if we didn't move. Cool threat, seeing as how there wasn't a single sign that said "Private Property No Trespassing" or anything of the like. I got a little angry with him. When he was walking away I accidently lost it and threw a knife in his back. Whoops! My bad.

Tonight we play Bottle Rocket Fest. Hopefully it will rule beans.

We have some fairly large tour plans coming up so keep on the lookout!

Sincerely yours forever,

Aaron

ASU ASU ASU ASU!!! [27 Aug 2004|08:44pm]
[ mood | leaving ]

I've decided to change the way I write these tour diary updates as well as my way of life and the way I think. I'm sick of offending people, sickening people, making people angry and just being disrespectful. I'm through with that stuff. So here we go:

We left California with bright shining smiles on our faces. :o) It was hot and stuffy in the van but we managed to get through it discussing our future plans for goals, morals, future, career, and family! Discussing these things made us happy and excited and made us forgot about the not-so-great weather and conditions! Our shows also have been not so great as far as how much money we've been making and how many kids have been at the shows - but those aren't the things that are important to us! The things that matter are that the kids who DID come truly appreciated the music that we are playing. Gosh golly I just want to thank god for creating a world as great as this where I can be blessed with amazing things like this. I sure do miss all my friends back home and I can't wait to see them once again - the moment that moment comes i'm going to give them all big giant HUGS!!! Hugs and kisses forever guys! <3 xxooxxoo

Havasu, Arizona was our destination and we got there on time without going 1 over the speed limit! That's right! We don't believe in speeding. Speed limits are created for a reason and we firmly have a grasp on that. In order to further prevent automobile accidents, we never go faster then the limit. Everyone should look more into this method of driving because it really is amazing! Try it - try to get in the habit and trust me - when you do you will just love yourself because you'll feel so much better about what you're doing for the society and safety! You'll be able to FEEL yourself driving safer and it will put a BIG smile on your face!

Havasu felt like a sauna but thats okay because we love saunas. A rockin young and coming band called Flawless Victory opened the show and they played dashing metalcore with everything ranging from chunky distorted chord progressions to heavy-as-toast breakdowns! It was unlike anything we had ever heard! We enjoyed talking to these boys and were happy to give them free CD's, t-shirts, and RESPECT - because we dont care about making money - just gaining FANS! It was also our last show with the talented boys in Bleak December and it was sad to see them part. Those kids may get bad grades in school and be willing to take days off to play shows (which by the way is not a good idea - stay in school kids - no matter what), that doesn't stop us from caring for them elequantly. They were off in a spin with the wind and then we discovered that the venue did not make enough money from the 34 kids that attended to pay us a cent. We were slightly displeased and Evan put away his angry goggles to go ask the nice man who set the show up to explain the situation. He was semi aged, balding, and had a small young boy, very cute, probably about 3 years old. BOOMER threatened to throw a brick through the window and apparently the old bald man had heard this and it made him quite uncomfortable. He asked us to leave the premesissis and we politely did just that. Later we realized that that old man was the vocalist of the Voodoo Glow Skulls which apparently was the first live band Brady and Aaron ever had the privelage of seeing! :-o

The next night we went to a really fun college party! There were no girls there...no beer...nothing bad like that. But there was a joyful sunshower with cherry flavored drops coming from above!!! We skip-toed about dancing to the sounds of Blondie, Dave Matthews Band, and John Mayer!!! When more people arrived, we had every sit in a circle - then we played an awesome game of duck duck grey duck!!! This was right after we watched CHANNEL 2 for 3 hours. FUCKING CHRIST I CANT DO THIS ANYMORE......

FUCK OFF.
There was an assload of hot tan-ass girls at the party.
BURKE got like 10 of their numbers and i talked to one but thats about it.
It was fucking sweet.
Those of us who arent edge got drunk as shit.

Earlier that day we took over the pool at apartment too and smashed each others heads in.
WE split up by bands and played water polo.
NEHEMIAH won...as expected.
We got really tan like Brady is.

P.s. the show in Havasu sucked (although kids moshed and they were cool kids) and so did driving. Be realistic.
Get real.

We saw HERO today and it was fucking PERFECT.
everyone except BOOMER agrees thats the right word for it.
Everyone see it.

Hey i hope you enjoyed the first half of this shit.
Its just for you guys.

You better save room for my fist cuz i'm going to ram it into your stomach.
Kuato Lives.

Thanks BEARDY for providing a fun time.
off to OKLAHOMO.
be offended. please.
dont worry we'll have Aaron write more later.
maybe we can have Nolan do one or something too.
we'll get a whole LiveJournal party going here.
just to please you.

Sunshine and sugar drops!!!!

Nehemiah update, done right. [25 Aug 2004|10:48am]
Dragonforce. If you don't know what that word means I highly suggest you search google and get learned. That's all I'm going to say about that besides a quick name drop in about three more words: Herman Li.

So here we are in beautiful Lost Anglos, New Jersey. What a nice place to be. I have only been attacked by a Manticore once out here, unlike in my homeland where Manticores strike me down at least 2.52 times a day! Phew! I'm glad I don't really have to deal with them whilst I'm away. Other than that one mishap, this whole rock tour thing has been pretty sweet. I'm sure you're wondering: what can be sweet to a band that is so totally awesome? I'll tell you: JK! I'm not really going to tell you. Gosh! Why do you always have to get up all in my business?? ):<

LOL! I fooled you guys so hard!
For serious now, we totally had an extreme adventure to the max. Nehemiah + adopted drummer + 1/2 of wdhr guitarist had a gay old time at the beach battling many a wild beast. Nolan totally took out a baby seal with one fell swoop of his mighty axehammer, Tim demolished a whole school of fish, Evan sorched a couple pelicans with his rocket launcher, Ty destroyed a blue whale, Brady played with some sea urchin, Chad got eaten alive by a tiger shark, and I faught an epic battle with the most revered sea creature of all time: Leviathon. I would like to go into detail about my courageous and daring strategies in the art of finding and killing enourmous mythical beasts, but I dont exactly have the time. If anyone wants to hear the tale IM me at: imadumbstudpididiotforactuallywantingtohearthistale
After the war was over, we headed on out to the show.

The Allen Theater:

This place was awesome. It is like this old play theater turned hardcore venue. Pretty keen if you ask me. There was a great turn out and kids moshed n' rolled all over the place. Ill. Tyte. Syq. We got an encore and we reacted really awkwardly on stage, because that's how we do it in this town. We ened up playing a new song and kids seemed to dig it like a shovel. I just made that last line up right now thanks. By in by, awesome show.

Tonight we play Arizona. Keen times all around.

Don't worry fellows, I'll take the journal from Chad's perspective just so you guys aren't dissapointed.

There were sooooo many hot bitches at the show. Why can't it be like that in MN? I'm pretty sure there were like five 14 year old girls who wanted to fuck my brains out. Money shot in the face!

The end.

Love,
Aaron the super icy dude brah from some stupid band called Hehemia?
